Club policies

Please review each of the policies and procedures carefully.

Be our partner courses’ best guests at all times.

We are guests of all our partner courses, both private and public. As a NewClub member, you are expected to show utmost respect to all staff, existing members, and fellow NewClub members.

Closely adhere to our partner course policies and procedures, such as removing your hat in the clubhouse, limiting or restricting mobile phone usage, changing your shoes in locker rooms, and wearing required attire.

Please keep up your pace by playing ready golf and limit your time looking for a lost ball.

Follow all proper golf etiquette and take care of the golf course by repairing all ball marks, replacing or filling divots, raking bunkers, etc.

 Other policies

  • As of 2022, NewClub will no longer issue credit card refunds for cancellations in the NewClub mobile app. Events, trips, or bookings that cost $500 or more per person are eligible for credit card refunds instead of credits.

Credits are awarded in U.S. dollar monetary value (i.e. a credit of $15.75 was issued to Jane Smith’s member account).

All credits are applied to the member account via our payments processing platform (Stripe) and are automatically applied to 1) any booking in the NewClub mobile app or 2) any invoice charged to a member account. Credit balances are automatically applied to these payments until the entire balance is exhausted.

Credits can be transferred to a gift card for the Society Shop. To transfer credits to a gift card, please email help@newclub.golf to request.

Credits cannot be returned or refunded upon membership cancellation for any reason.

Credit balances may be requested at any time by emailing accounting@newclub.golf.

  • The Order Of Merit is a year-long points race to qualify for your Chapter’s club championship. Order Of Merit points are earned in the following ways:

    • Booking tee times in the mobile app.

    • Playing a match.

    • Attending any event, trip, or Fixture.

The leaderboard for the Order Of Merit can be viewed in the NewClub mobile app. Open the app > tap “Menu” in the bottom right > tap “Order Of Merit points”

  • As guests, pace of play is one of the best ways we can make a positive impression at our clubs. Please adhere to the following NewClub pace of play requirements:

Play ready golf. If you’re at your ball and are ready, hit regardless of position.

Max net double bogey. If you’re having a tough hole, keep up pace by taking a double bogey and regroup on the next tee.

Lateral drops for all lost balls or shots out of bounds. Take a lateral hazard drop in the fairway nearest the estimated point where you lost your ball or boundary of the course and take a two-stroke penalty. Never go back to the tee to re-hit.

Allow play through right away. If a group behind you is putting on the pressure, allow them to play through right away.

Await permission to play through. If the opposite occurs and you find your group at the heels of the group in front, politely await permission to play through.

  • If you use your member number or member name is used to make purchases at a course/club for food, beverages, or pro shop items, your account/credit card on file will be charged once we receive an invoice from the club.

  • Please be prepareed to pay caddies and forecaddies in cash. Most clubs do not have ATMs, so be sure to get cash before your arrive at the course.

  • At private courses, it’s customary and expected to tip the staff responsible for your day’s enjoyment.

Please be prepared to tip locker room attendants, bag drop staff, and staff handling your clubs a small cash tip ($5) upon service.

Please keep your credit card up to date in the NewClub mobile app. To update your card, open the NewClub app > tap "Profile" > tap the gear icon on the top right > tap “Update Payment Info”
